"Oh, no it's fine. I got it. Thanks.”

Beau swore the girl had said something else beforehand, but she’d been paying too little attention to catch it. Beau nodded simply when the girl waved off her help and instead took Narissa towards her stall to remove the saddle and brush her off.

"So it was you who took that horse. I thought he got stolen for a moment there. I don't see many people hanging around here, and not a lot are on the team so...”

Beau glanced back at Vasilisa before turning her gaze to Narissa and smiling fondly. She couldn’t help but giggle when Narissa nuzzled her in return.

”That’s right. Narissa’s her name, and she’s a lovely lady.” beau stressed, seeing as Vasilisa used “he” instead. ”As for stealin’, the thief'd have to get through me first. Then most likely the staff.” Beau added offhandedly while leading Narissa into her stall. ”I’m guessing you’re on the team yourself.”

It wasn’t really a question as Beau could see the uniform on the girl plain as day. She never really liked it other than the boots, which was why she typically practiced in normal clothing.

"Are you on the team or just one of those curious students from time to time who decided to try horse-riding to pass the time?”

Beau laughed and shook her head, although she’d seen some of the latter. While some genuinely were willing to try, Beau had chased off her fair share of fools that tried coming to the stables for less-than-innocent reasons.

”The team; high school to be exact. I’m guessin’ you’re in the college one on account of me not seeing you prior to this.”

Since it was clear Vasilisa was going to practice, Beau was fairly curious to watch her. Working efficiently yet swiftly, Beau had soon taken care of her riding companion and stepped back outside. She was curious to see if there was a gap of skill between the teams.

”Guess I’ll simply have to see myself.”
