”’Dear Big Sis, I know you don’t like watching movies much, but you need to because everyone else is and you shouldn’t be out of the loop.’” Kristen read out loud with a soft smile as she toweled her hair. ”'I’m sure they’ll all be making references and stuff and you won’t get it at all! You might be a cool big sis,’” Kristen’s smile widened slightly as she traded the towel for a comb, ”’But even you have to be mainstream sometimes! So I got you a lot of movies that just released on DVD. You better watch them because I’m quizzing you next time you call! From Mikey. P.S.: Mom and Dad say hi.’”
Kristen chuckled once she finished the note and had to reread it again as she untangled the knots in her hair. The fact her little brother actually mailed her letters instead of texting her was absolutely adorable. Although this time Kristen understood why he would considering the letter also came with a package. She had no idea what movies he’d picked for her, but she had to admit she was fairly curious to find out. Maybe not watch them, but as Mikey said she’d never been into movies to begin with. Although from the sheer weight of the package when Kristen picked it up, she wasn’t being given much of a choice here.
”You little doofus.”
There was a touch of fondness in her voice as she finally detangled her hair. Never one to make those crazy looking towel hats, Kristen simply slung the towel over her shoulders and grabbed Mikey’s notes before heading for the living room. Her package was waiting on the table, and she began tearing the tape off. However the sound of the door to the suite opening caught her attention. Kristen forgot that she was supposedly getting new room mates when she’d received Mikey’s little box in the mail.
”Oh hey.” She said, standing back up and crumpling the tape in her hands. ”I heard I was getting some people. I’m Kristen. Please don’t ask me too many questions because honestly I’m almost as new as they come myself.” She added with a smirk as he walked over to the trash can and tossed the tape out. ”Anyways, nice to meet you.”
