He heard her voice raise pitch by a bit and smiled. When she told him to ease up, his face turned to one of confusion though.
"Ease up on what? Sorry I appreciate you thinking I'm possibly on the same intellectual level, but that doesn't mean I understand everything. I get confused probably a little too easily."
"It's just I'm not used to having a conversation that lasts for longer than three minutes,"
she answered honestly.
"I did not want you to think that I, in any way was being insulting since I was truly being sincere and I know how sometimes it is hard to tell the difference between the two."
"Ah then I think we might've passed the landmark time then!" He grinned.
"And don't sweat it. I don't get insulted easily. I just thought you might be being sarcastic or something. But I wouldn't have taken offense. Chances are I would've just chuckled. You seem like you mean well anyway. I would've caught on to your meaning eventually. Although I might've been paying my check when I finally realized it. I'm a bit slow figuring things out." He laughed and smiled.
