Power(s): Illusion Weaving, Magic, Elemental Manipulation

Illusion Weaving
Tristan can weave illusions that are both auditory and visible.  That being said, she can only weave them around herself.  It's thought that the ability manifested itself that way because of her centaur body.  Basically if the amulet that conceals her centaur self from human eyes fails, or if she loses it, all hope is not lost as she can create an illusion herself.  She can also make herself look different, but she cannot make herself look bigger or smaller.  She stays the same size.  To make herself look different though, she must have a very clear picture of what the end result should look like.

Magic
Tristan's magic seems to specialize in curses and charms.  By charms, I mean lucky charms.  With her magic, she can basically control the probability of things happening.  For example, if someone was walking quickly and there was a puddle ahead, and suddenly she put a curse on their probability, the chances of them stepping in that puddle goes up drastically.  She can't change it so drastically that they'd get hit by a bus in the next minute unless they were just about to cross in front of a bus.  The same goes for her luck charms.  She can manipulate probability in someone's favour just as well as to their detriment.

Elemental Manipulation

She can manipulate the four elements - fire, water, air and earth.  If while controlling any of those elements, the result of her manipulation of them leads to them becoming bigger than herself, she has a much higher risk of losing control of them.  

Limitations:

Illusion Weaving:
- only applies to herself and cannot be used to create illusions anywhere else
- cannot make herself larger or smaller
- easily seen through by demigods with the ability to see through illusions and magic
- must have a very detailed picture in her head of what she wants to change her appearance to
- can only change her appearance once a week because it takes too much effort and concentration and exhausts her

Magic:

Elemental Manipulation:
- She can snuff out a manipulation by concentrating, but only if the area of the manipulation is two feet wide and high or less.  Otherwise, she must snuff out the manipulation with another element.
- If while controlling any of those elements, the result of her manipulation of them leads to them becoming bigger than herself, she has a much higher risk of losing control.

This should balance your power out to make sure it's not too overpowered. This could include a range of your ability, what the power is immune against, how many times and for how long the ability can be used - and counter the good points with weak ones.



Side-Effects:
Possible side-effects of her drugs...I mean powers...include:
- exhaustion on overusing the illusion
- headaches
- nausea
- overheating if she overuses fire
- possible soakings from water
- 

Typically ever power comes with it’s odd side-effect or two. Meaning that these are the things that happens to your character when using and overusing their ability. Does it give your character headaches? Mental/physical drain? Nosebleeds? The need for lots of sleep?

Physical Description: She has a tattoo of a bird on her shoulder and a tattoo of an enchanted tree on the same arm.  When she's glamoured to look like a human, she has two normal legs.  She likes dressing in leather, which is likely due to the fact she's watched cowboy movies.  I mean she is a centaur after all...wait did I mention that?  Yeah she's totally a centaur.  Well, half centaur technically, but considering she has the horse bottom, it really doesn't matter all that much.  Her horse part is like a palomino arabian.  For the uninitiated, that means she has a golden coat of hair with a white blonde tail.  Matches her white blonde hair, you see?  Oh and the Arabian means she has a tail that's carried higher than other breeds of horse.  Only she's a centaur.  


Personality: The primary thing you need to know about Tristan is she's snarky.  If there's an opening for a joke or a quip, she'll take it.  It doesn't matter all that much to her whether she knows you or not.  Even if saying something means someone will get a bad impression, for the most part she really doesn't care.  In fact, the sign that someone matters to her is if she cares about their impression of her.  She's fairly relaxed around Olympus Falls, but she can get pretty nervous in public because she's paranoid her magical illusion will drop and everyone will see her centaur self.  She's still first and foremost unapologetically attitude filled.

What she doesn't like is when people judge her based on her being a centaur.  She doesn't mind the jokes, they give her reasons to make jokes back.  But people thinking they know her based on what her species is?  That's racist....or like species-ist.  You wouldn't want to be judged on the colour of your skin, your sexual orientation, or your gender.  Tristan doesn't want to be judged on whether she has hooves.  It's simple really.
