"Thaaaaaaaaaaank you." Riley breathed as she took the hot chocolate from the server's hands. She needed some chocolatey goodness right about now, and hot chocolate was definitely the way to go. She swiftly found a place to sit down before the cup burned her fingers. Absolutely perfect temperature. Eventually she found the only table left open and plopped down into a seat, putting the cup down swiftly. "Ow ow ow ow ow hot." She muttered, shaking her hands as if that would help cool her fingertips. Once one was good enough, she dug into her pocket and fished out her phone to read the message Logan sent.
I'll be there in twenty minutes.
Riley huffed, but at least it had already been five minutes since she got the message. Her twin was always on time or early, so she wasn't worried about her being too late. Besides, Riley might be able to sneak in another cup of hot chocolate before her sister got there. She wasn't too sure what Logan had been doing, but apparently it was something for their mom. Also Riley had learned not to question Logan about her activities too much. "Spooky scary sister." She joked to herself while trying a sip from her drink. It burned her tongue but honestly that's how she liked it. Still she could wait just a bit more. Besides, she noticed there was someone else trying to look for a table. The girl seemed about her age, and she didn't look like she'd be pure evil or anything. "Hey you can sit with me if you need a table." Riley offered with a smile. "I mean I'm only using, like, a quarter of the whole darn thing."

Selina carefully held a hot cup of dark chocolate mocha in her hands, taking a cautious sip before looking for a table in the crowded place. Some people in town gave her funny looks for what they assumed to be a tattoo on her face, but she’d learned to ignore it. Besides, their ignorance was far more pleasant than what she dealt with back at the University. She was about to give up and go outside when a gorgeous woman flagged her down… how could she say no?
Selina smiled warmly at the lovely stranger and sat down across from her, “Thank you, I have to admit I didn’t quite think it’d be this busy here,” she confessed with a low laugh. “Although, their coffee is excellent so I suppose I shouldn’t be too shocked.” She held her hand across the table in introduction, “The name’s Selina, and you?” She asked as she snuck in a quick once-over of her new companion for the coffee hour. The woman was absolutely stunning, and Selina was almost surprised she didn’t have a possessive lover coming out of the woodwork to lay a hand on her shoulder and give Selina the evil eye.
She seemed sweet though, and quite friendly. Selina found herself almost relaxing from the woman’s smile alone.

Riley was glad the woman sat with her instead of stared at her awkwardly or huffing and sassily walking way. Some people reacted badly to these sort of offers, but Riley would still kindly give them. Especially with how packed it was that day. She chuckled and nodded. "Yeah this place is usually booked. Honestly I think they should get more seating but I don't think they've got any more room for it. Their coffee is awesome too, yeah. Although I wimp out and get the hot chocolate instead. Keepin' it ol' school." She joked before pausing and snickering at herself. "Ok, sorry. That was horrible." She admitted. "One of the issues with sitting with me is my horrible jokes. Please bear with me." She asked with a grin.
Riley took another sip from her hot chocolate and decided it was just below scalding. Perfect for drinking. "Selina? Nice name!" Riley said honestly, drinking some from her cup. "Name's Riley. My sister will be here in a bit too. Her name's Logan." She offered. Riley wasn't sure whether or not she should warn Selina about her sister's.... nature, but honestly it was fun seeing people react anyways. For now she observed her companion. She noticed the mark but only gave it a glance. Other than that nothing changed in her opinion or kind expression. "You from around here?"

Selina grinned and nodded, “Although, I don’t mind it being so crowded today. It’s not often I get to talk with such a gorgeous woman,” she returned with a slight smirk before laughing lightly at Riley’s joke, “I assure you, I don’t mind,” she offered honestly. Selina needed light-hearted joking in her life, the sillier the better, it had been a bit dark at the Academy in the past nine months, so it was nice to get away from all of the people there and just relax for once.
“Oh? Is your sister as sexy as you are?” Selina teased, wondering if she would be intruding on the two’s time together, “And I can easily take my coffee outside or something if you guys need to talk, it’s a lovely day and fresh air always does me good,” she added. She didn’t want to get in the way. At Riley’s question, Selina nodded, “I was born and raised here,” she replied honestly, seeing nothing worth hiding, “And you?” She asked as she took another sip of her coffee. The hot rich liquid tasted like heaven and warmed her from the inside out.

At the compliment a light blush appeared on Riley's cheeks. She took a sip from her hot chocolate to give her a little time before she had to say anything else, and when she did she threw Selina a smile. "Speak for yourself! You're pretty too, jeez. I'm sure you could've easily gotten another table with someone." Riley really didn't doubt it. Especially if she was being so smooth with Riley right off the bat! Riley chuckled when Selina mentioned she wouldn't mind, raising an eyebrow at her with a smirk. "Careful, I just might test that." She joked.
Riley blushed a tiny bit again, but this time she laughed it off. "Well we're twins so I guess. Our outfits are different though. And a few other things." She said with a shrug. The twins were only similar in a few things other than body, but Riley loved her sister dearly. "Born here huh? Niiiiiice. It's a pretty big town. I came from somewhere else. Pennsylvania to be more exact. We moved here a few years ago. It's pretty nice! You like it here?" She questioned, genuinely curious.

Riley’s blush only made her all the more attractive, and simultaneously adorable, Selina couldn’t but smile at the girl, “Perhaps, but not with anyone as engaging as you are,” Selina returned honestly. Most of the people in this shop would likely bore or annoy her, and Riley had yet to do either. Selina then grinned at Riley and nodded, “I wouldn’t mind if you did. It’s not often that I get to hear bad jokes,” she teased.
“Oh twins? There’s someone else out there as gorgeous as you are? I can scarce believe the gods would be so kind,” she joked. As Riley mentioned liking Olympus Falls, Selina le out a darkly bitter laugh before calming a bit and shaking her head, “I used to, but recently the place’s charms seem to have worn off,” she offered. If this girl didn’t know about the school, Selina certainly wasn’t going to be the one to tell her. Besides, talking about demigods and titans nowadays would likely only get her a blank stare at best. “What about you? Is it much different from Pennsylvania? Do you ever get homesick?”

Riley was only managing to get more and more flustered by the girl's compliments. Part of her almost wished Logan were there, but at the same time she knew her sister would only smirk at how red-faced she was getting. So instead she only ducked her head a little and used her hot chocolate as an excuse not to say anything while she drank it. Although she had to laugh at Selina's response to her bad joke threat. "Well then sit tight Selina because my road of conversation is normally paved with them." She teased, grinning right back at Selina.
Riley already knew Selina attended the school because of the brand, but she wasn't going to say anything unless Selina asked. Although that wasn't a question you just sort of asked. "Well Logan's kinda more.....masculine? I guess? i don't know you can ell me when she gets here." Riley waved off before noticing the bitterness in Selina's laughter. Her expression dropped a little bit as she could imagine some of the higher up god kids could be a little.....annoying. (Translate: bitchy). Although she gladly let the topic slide on to talk about her family. Hopefully that wouldn't bring up bad stuff. "Nah, not homesick. Our moms came with us when we moved here, so all that changed was the scenery. They wanted to be close to us for school. We're still their little babies to them." Riley admitted with a snicker.

Selina laughed and nodded, “I shall prepare myself,” she teased, though surprisingly without innuendo. Selina couldn’t help but like Riley, there was something genuine about her that was hard to find. Selina listened in interest as Riley described her sister, “Is she? I’m very interested in seeing what she’s like,” Selina admitted. If Riley’s boyish twin was just as friendly and sweet Selina could only imagine what the two must be like together.
“Moms?” Selina asked in curiosity. Her own mom was far more inclined towards women, so it wasn’t a strange idea so much as she hadn’t often heard it talked of outside of her own home and her mom’s friends. “And I can understand that, my mom lives close by as well, and she’s definitely protective,” Selina offered wryly. “I adore her, but sometimes I wish she’d understand that I’m not 13 anymore,” she added with an obvious fondness for the woman evident in her tone.
“And I’m glad the move went so well for you,” Selina offered. She’d known kids who ahd struggled quite severely with the transfer to Olympus Falls.

"Logan is....." Riley struggled to find a way to describe her sister. She was always there for Riley when she needed her, and might've been a tad overprotective but she meant well. However Riley knew the Logan she saw was not exactly the Logan others saw, especially initially. But she didn't want to go insulting her sister, especially when she saw the (rare) kind side of her. So Riley jut shrugged. "...An experience." It was the only way she could think to rightfully define her sister. "That's about all I can say. You'll see." She promised.
"Yup! We've got two moms. It's awesome." Riley wasn't really sure what Selina's view on that was, although Riley had only run into trouble about it once. Still the girl seemed nice, and didn't seem disgusted by it or anything. Instead she moved on and Riley had to admit she was pretty relieved. "Yeah I know. It's cute, but at the same time I'm like 'Mom come on!' But usually that gets me nowhere." Riley admitted with a snicker. She smiled gratefully at Selina when she mentioned the move. "Thanks. I honestly think it was due to my moms and Logan." She said honestly.
"Glad to help." Came a voice as Logan almost magically appeared in the seat next to Selina, a cup of coffee in her hands as she raised an eyebrow at Riley. her face was set in it's normal neutral and her clothes were definitely more masculine in nature as Riley said. Riley smiled warmly at the girl.
"Hey sis! Meet Selina!" Logan turned her head to regard Selina silently for a few heartbeats, her gaze essentially dissecting the girl in a few seconds before she quirked a brow.
"Charmed." She stated drily before looking at Riley. "A new friend I'm guessing."

Selina chuckled at Riley’s description of her sister, “Hopefully a sexy experience, I tend to enjoy those,” she teased. Selina vastly preferred to draw her own conclusions about people regardless, so she didn’t truly mind not knowing anything.
At Riley’s mentions of two moms, Selina merely smiled warmly at her and nodded, “I’ll bet. My single mother was great, so two would’ve probably been fantastic,” she admitted. Although, Selina wasn’t sure Katerina would ever settle down, much less invite someone into their home as an equal in terms of parenting.
Selina smirked in sympathy as Riley mentioned dealing with her protective mother, “Same, but she’s gotten better recently,” she added lightly. Well, that wasn’t strictly true, but Selina spent less and less time at home, so Katerina had less chance to look out for her. Ever since nine months ago, she hadn’t even seen her mother… When the sister spoke up so suddenly, Selina jumped a bit, turning to face the handsome woman, “Sorry, didn’t see you there,” she offered apologetically, though she was simultaneously going through her memory trying to remember if there’d even been a hint of the other girl’s presence. Usually Selina took notice of everything so someone slipping under her radar was definitely worth noticing.
Selina noticed Logan’s glance and studied her in interest, ‘an experience’... she was starting to get what Riley meant. Selina was surprised to hear Riley confirm the ‘friend’ part, “Well, we just met,” she offered instead. Selina didn’t bandy about such a term lightly, so to hear someone use it in reference to herself was strange. At Riley’s introduction however she smiled, “It’s a pleasure, I’m sure” she offered Logan with a slightly heated gaze.

Riley could only grin and shake her head, not saying anything more. It was Logan. One could only experience her. Selina would get to see whenever Logan decided to show up. Which honestly could be at any moment now. But then they moved onto Riley's mothers and she couldn't help but grin fondly. "They are pretty great, not to brag." Riley joked with a grin. She loved her moms, and knew for a fact they definitely loved each other. It was great to see. But then Logan appeared and Selina looked surprise. Riley could only snicker a little. Her sister definitely made a first impression.
"No need to apologize." Logan replied, a hint of a smile tugging at her lips for an instant before it vanished. She glanced towards Riley when Selina made her comment on them just meeting. The girl blushed and rubbed the back of her neck.
"Well.....yeah. Sorry." Riley apologized. She knew she had a habit of quickly befriending people. To her credit it was a sign of a kind person, but Logan knew it could sometimes get her sister in trouble. Which was why she was observing Selina closely, even as they were introduced.
"We'll see." Came Logan's dry response before she sipped more of her coffee. "Olympus Falls?" She questioned bluntly, glancing at Selina even though she already knew the answer. Riley still looked surprised though.
"Logan!" She said, which only earned a shrug from the girl.

Selina nodded to Logan and smiled kindly at Riley and shook her head when the girl apologized, “Forgive me, I’m not the best with social graces. I don’t object to the term, I’m just… unused to hearing it, I suppose,” she offered wryly. That was an understatement, but Selina wasn’t about to go into her personal life right now.
At Logan’s question though, Selina let out a hard laugh, “How could you tell?” she asked, her tone cold as ice. Her entire demeanor switching from open and friendly to closed off and distant in a matter of seconds. Selina was slightly surprised to hear Riley’s protest and wondered if the woman genuinely gave a damn, or if she’d merely been chatting with Selina due to pity... or perhaps Riley was far crueller than she first appeared.
Selina wouldn’t put anything past the people at Olympus Falls nowadays. Selina was about to get up and leave, as she had zero desire to get into anything regarding the damn school right now. She was on edge and prepared for anything as she glanced at Riley, “It was lovely to meet you,” she offered, her tone formal and pure business. These two… weren’t the descendants of Titans as Selina was, she would bet good money on it, and the only reason most demigods interacted with her was when they were looking to start trouble that Selina couldn’t afford to get into.

"Nah nah, it's my fault." Riley insisted. "I just like making friends is all. besides, you seem really nice so far. Although you could be a criminal mastermind for all I know." Riley teased with a waggle of her eyebrows that made Logan smirk once again. Although all tease went straight from her mind when Selina turned so cold at Logan's question. She shot her sister a concerned and slightly peeved look, but Logan paid her no mind. Logan only raised an eyebrow at Selina, her expression the same.
"A few things, but I wouldn't jump to the first conclusion. I hardly care who your parent is." She said, her tone just as uncaring as her words seemed to express. "Besides, our mother is practically on the threshold of both titan and god. So why should I care what mantle they wear?" She sipped her coffee and looked at Selina again, meeting her eyes. "I'll judge you based on your own actions. No one else's." Riley was surprised at her sister's unusual display of sincerity, but it was an idea she also held. Yes she'd figured Selina was probably the daughter of a titan.
So what?
But apparently Selina took that as their way of telling her to get lost. She grimaced a little, looking upset and genuinely sorry. "It was lovely meeting you too, and look I'm honestly really sorry if we made you uncomfortable or anything." She shot a pointed look at Logan who ignored it. "Seriously, you're fine. You seem awesome! But if you don't want to be around us then....ok. And sorry again."

Selina laughed lightly at Riley’s teasing comment, “Who knows? I just might be,” she replied easily. As far as some were concerned she might as well be.
Selina listened as Logan spoke, although the suspicion in her features was evident. When Logan mentioned the twins’ mother though, she paused briefly, “Forgive my curiosity, but who is your mother?” she asked bluntly. Logan might not have cared, but Selina couldn’t afford such nonchalance. When Logan met her gaze, Selina felt like she was momentarily pinned in place. The strength in the woman’s gaze alone had heat curling in Selina’s stomach, but she couldn’t afford to be distracted by lust right now. Selina couldn’t detect any lie in the woman’s words either, although Selina had a distinct feeling that Logan could lie without anyone being able to tell.
Selina then looked back to Riley, who seemed just as sincere,”No, no need to apologize...” She started honestly. She was cautious because she had to be, but it wasn’t these two’s fault that other demigods were shitty. Not that these two were suddenly trustworthy because of a few promises that could be empty… but they had a better start than most. She wasn’t sure whether she was going to sit back down or not yet, so Selina remained standing as she evaluated her decision. It could end up working in her favor to have two demigods who didn’t hate her... “So what brings you down from the school?” she asked in curiosity.
It wasn’t that great of a conversation starter, but it was a start. Selina was still unsure of both of these women, but she was willing to give them a chance.
