Selina carefully avoided the people downtown as she gingerly made her way through the streets. Her ribs hurt even with the pain relievers she'd downed before making her way out here, but she was determined to get away from the place that had caused this. She still got stares for the Omega mark on her face while out amongst the humans in the city, but it was uncomprehending ignorance most of the time, instead of the disdain common back up at the school. She vastly preferred human curiosity over godly arrogance.
As Selina made her way through the club district, occasionally glancing into places she couldn't truly afford to enter right now, she absently wondered if she could get a job at one of them. She couldn't truly work at all right now, but as soon as her ribs got better, maybe she'd try out for a position. At least her split lip had healed up fairly well, that was something. She cursed the school for taking away her ability to heal faster, but she knew why they did it. It wasn't even because they gave that much of a damn about the kid she'd beaten up. It was a display of power, one to keep other titan-borns in their proper place. She would serve as an example to others who thought they could go against the gods' spoilt children.
She sighed as she stopped outside of a burlesque club, pausing to rest briefly and catch her breath. She knew she was supposed to keep moving to heal, but it wasn't easy. She took a few painful deep breaths and listened as she could hear some of the music and singing from inside. She wished she could go in and sip a cocktail while enjoying a show, but such luxuries wouldn't be hers for quite some time... if ever.
